Fall Creek Falls TN, Wednesday October 8th 2003.
This is what we saw when we walked into our room. The dam wall can be seen at the end of the lake.

Looking out from our balcony

Leaning out!

A "closer look" . The mile long walking path runs just behind the first rows of threes

.

After unpacking and lunching, we hit the lakeside walking trail

Ours was the lovely room on the top floor at the extreme left with a view both up and down the lake.

Looking across the lake at the boat dock from the walking path. They had paddle boats and fishing boats with silent trolling motors.

Thursday. This is the famous Fall Creek Falls. At 256 feet, it is reported to be the second highest East o the Rockies.

To get some scale, note the white specs at the lower pool perimeter which are people wading into the icy water

Later. The path along the edge of a huge gorge on the way to one of two suspension bridges

Looking sixty feet down from the swaying suspension bridge.

.

The path back.

Friday on the way out of the park. Cane Creek Falls.

.

Pool of tranquility near the Nature Center. There was also another suspension bridge and a small natural amphitheatre at this location.
